Easter Weekend :)

For Easter weekend I went to Salt Lake to visit my family and go to my friend Kyle's funeral (who I wrote about in the previous post). I went up Thursday morning to SLC. When my mom got off work, my mom, dad, Bailee and I went to dinner at The Italian Village. LOVE that place! On Friday my mom, dad and I went shopping at Sams Club and McKinlee got her picture taken with the Easter bunny while we were there. Then my mom and I met my sister Bailee at Maurices and bought new clothes and we got matching Easter dressing to wear on Easter to church. Friday night I went to Kyle's viewing...I managed not to cry the whole time I was in line (almost 2 hours) until I got up to where his parents were and saw him....I bawled! It was the worst feeling ever to see my best friend laying in the casket and knowing Im never going to see him again. After the viewing I went to Red Robin for dinner with my friend Jamie. Saturday I had breakfast at my sisters house and then went to Kyle's funeral....It was the most spiritual funeral I've been to (that I can remember). And yes I did cry the entire 2 hours of the funeral! After my mom, my sister Dayna and I went and picked out blessing dresses for McKinlee and my niece Karter! We went to Seagul Book and picked out a gift for Kyle's parents. Later that night my mom and I went to Kyle's parents house and gave his mom and dad the gift we picked out. I gave them a picture of Christ and a book called The Message. Sunday we went to church (first time taking McKinlee the whole block since she was born). After church my mom and I made dinner and dessert and Dayna and Bryan and their kids came over. We hung out outside and played with the kids. Then Monday morning I left to go back to Vernal since it was Tim's week off.

I am so grateful I was able to spend Easter with my family! I wish Tim would've been able to make it out that weekend but he had to work. Grateful for the atonement and sacrifice Jesus made for us so we can return back him one day!

Here are a few pics from the weekend :)

Loss of a friend...

On March 24, 2013 I lost one of my best friends, Kyle Stocking. He was in Moab, UT with some friends over spring break. He jumped off of the Corona Arch on a rope swing...they miss calculated how long the rope was and he hit the ground...causing life threatening injuries that eventually ended up killing him. :( Right before he passed away a family was hiking and had saw what had happened. The mother was a nurse and tried everything they could to help him but there just wasnt anything anyone could have done. The father and his son gave Kyle a priesthood blessing right before he passed away.

After hearing about this horrible accident and hearing about the family who gave him a blessing, I was even more grateful for the power of priesthood! I am so thankful for that family and the father and son who gave Kyle that blessing to help him over come the pain whether that be him living and not be in pain or him passing and not be in pain. I wish it was him living and not in pain but that wasnt the Lord's plan for Kyle. I am so grateful for temples and that Kyle was sealed to his family and that one day they will be together again!

My heart goes out to Kyle's family and I hope that they will be ok and get the peace they need knowing that Kyle is ok and they will see him again.

Kyle was such an amazing friend. He was always such a fun person to hang out with. We went on hikes, out to dinner, went to the state fair together, and on the 4th of July when I was super sick with the flu and was suppose to go watch the fireworks with him, he decided to come to my house and watch a movie with me because we had plans to hang out and he doesnt ever break a promise or ditch anyone no matter what! Im really gonna miss him!

I LOVE YOU KYLE!

McKinlee Kay Wenzel

I know everyone already knows McKinlee was born....but I thought I should update my blog and tell the story! :)

On February 21, 2013 we went to the hospital at 7AM! I was scheduled to be induced and that was the time they wanted me there. When we got there we got settled into our room and waited for them to hook me up to the pitocin to start my labor. Around 7:45 I was all hooked up and ready to go! Tim and I watched TV, played games on our phones/computer, and waited....and waited....by 11:30 they came in and checked me (for like the 3rd or 4th time) and I was still only dialated to 2cm. They called my doctor to have him come talk to me and give me my options. My doc wanted to send me home since I wasnt progressing much and didnt want to risk me having a c-section since I wasnt progressing. I called my mom and dad and told them (they drove out the night before to be there for the birth). I REFUSED to be sent home so I walked around the hospital for a good hour and had them check me again. I was dialated to almost 3cm by then. So I walked around some more and bounced on a ball and had them up the dose of the pitocin. By around 3ish (im guessing...wasnt really paying attention to the time) I was having HORRIBLE contractions, but my doc wouldnt break my water or give me the epidural until I was at least between 4 and 5cm. I asked them to check me again and FINALLY was at almost 5cm so my doc came in and broke my water. (I will NEVER let the doc break my water before I get the epidural again!) By the time I got the epidural I was at 7cm and having the strongest contractions you can get (they range from 0-90 on a scale and I was having them in the 90's) and had to sit super still to get the stupid epidural! By the time they had finished giving me the epidural I had them check me again. By now I was almost to 10cm and the epidural still hadnt kicked in. By the time I was ready to start pushing the epidural finally was working and we were ready to go! I'm pretty sure I only pushed for maybe 30 mins to and hour?? Not quite sure....but at 5:52pm McKinlee was here weighing at 6lbs 5oz and 20in! It was the best feeling ever to finally have my baby girl here! I only cried a little bit....lol. So grateful I had my parents there and for Tim helping me through all the horrible contractions and trying to comfort me when I was in tears!

Moving....

I am so excited that we are getting a nicer and bigger place before the baby comes, but I hate the moving/packing process! Maybe its because im 38 weeks 6 days pregnant and just tired and sore all the time! And im the only one packing since Tim is working his butt off so we are able to get this nicer place. Here are some pics of our new place before we move in. I will post after pics when we are settled. :) I am also really grateful for a lady I used to work with, Myndee Hanberg and her husband Dave for letting us rent their townehome from them! :)

I cant wait for McKinlee to be here! I'm so curious as to what she will look like! I am also so grateful for the opportunity to become a mother and have a family! Its going to be the best!!!!
